Hello there.

I’m a Bay Area native, recovering perfectionist, and the youngest in my family. I'm partnered and enjoy down time and adventures with my family and loved ones in my free time. Clients and loved ones describe me as fiercely passionate and heart-centered, observant and wise, and committed to seeing from all angles. Equal parts softness and intensity.

I chose this profession because it felt like a natural fit to support other humans in this way. I have been a client of psychotherapy for many reasons and have found the emotionally attuned relationships with my providers to be the most therapeutic part of the process. The more I worked professionally with people in fitness, dance, and healing arts, the more I felt a yearning to dive deeper emotionally and invite all aspects of them into the working relationship. I wholeheartedly believe in walking the walk as a provider, so I continue in my commitment to my own regular therapy and consultation. The depth of work I can support my clients to do depends on how deep I go into my own process.

Since I identify as a white, able-bodied, cisgender woman, I strive to remain aware of my privilege and power, while acknowledging I will always have blocks in my ability to see from the vantage point of someone who doesn’t look like me. I engage in personal and professional process work around whiteness and seek consultation around themes of oppression and how they impact the therapeutic relationship. I welcome diversity into my practice.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Community Studies, and a master’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Somatic Psychotherapy. I’ve worked with youth, underserved families, young adults, and adults in school and outpatient clinical settings. A 20-year veteran in the health and wellness field, I bring an integration to psychotherapy with dance/movement, fitness/athletics, and healing arts.

My approach is holistic and experiential, warm and collaborative, direct and gentle, combining talk therapy with deeper explorations into the body wisdom as we see fit. My goal is to meet my clients where they are, with an open heart, curiosity, and a sense of humility and humor.
